Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board

The Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) is a premier recruitment agency under the Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE), Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare. Established in 1973, ASRB is responsible for recruiting scientists and other officers for the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).

Established as a single-member body in 1973, the Board was restructured in 1986 to comprise one chairman and two members. In 2018, the ASRB was delinked from ICAR, reconstituted with one chairman and three members, and designated as an Attached Office of DARE.
